Lessons are primarily available late afternoon and evenings Sunday through Tuesday. Daytime slots are also available Monday through Friday. Other slots may be available upon request.

My goal in ear training and theory is to help train thoughtful musicians who "hear everything" through work on ear training exercises, analysis, conventional notation practices, and solfège, as well as listening to real pieces to discover how the music is put together.

Competency in these skills develops over time, and consistency is encouraged for these lessons. For those pursuing music in an academic setting, the training will be extremely useful for doing well on the AP Music Theory Exam, or for college-level theory classes.

Monthly rates for weekly lessons

Half hour: $140

45 minutes: $200

One hour: $260

Have a friend or group? I'd be very happy to teach duos or small group lessons for an appropriately reduced rate.

Limited lesson slots are available for intermediate and advanced students. I do not currently take beginner students online, as they're best served with an in-person teacher.
